Onetangi Beach Races is...
A family fun day out
There’s something for everyone at the Onetangi Beach races. A host of activities for children (don’t miss the sandcastle competition), our annual Fullers Fashion on the Foreshore event, a Silent Auction, a beachside market plus much more…
A chance to win at the Tote
A race day just isn’t the same without the excitement of a flutter on the horses. To do that, you’ll need to buy one of our race packs. It contains a full race programme and tickets for the Tote. Be in to win.
All the excitement of the races
The sound of thundering hooves down the beach, the intense rivalry of the sealegs crews, the roar of the tractor engines, Onetangi Beach Races is a thrill for everyone
A key fundraiser for charity and community projects
Rotary Waiheke supports local and national charities and community organisations. In the last year we have helped: • Spirit of Adventure • Dictionaries in Schools • The Waiheke Hoispice • Christchurch Mosque appeal • Many more local and national projects

Kauri dieback is a fungus-like disease specific to Kauri trees. It is spread through soil movement on footwear and equipment.
The disease is currently incurable and nearly all infected Kauri will die.
We don’t have this disease on Waiheke and we want to keep it that way.
- Please ensure all equipment and footwear bought from off-island is throughly cleaned
- Horses need to be brushed and hooves cleaned before departing for Waiheke
Please see the Kauri Dieback website for more information
